Marshals / Superheroes

Volunteer Marshal - Could this be you?The High Legh 10K requires a small army of volunteers to organise it and ensure the runners have a safe and brilliant event. Route marshals are superheroes and we couldn’t do it without lots of them!
Maybe…

  • You have friends or family running and want to support them on the day?
  • You’re one of those special team-spirited people who is willing to give some of your time to support your local / running community?
  • You’re not able to run it but still want to be involved with a great local running event?

Whatever your motives, marshalling is rewarding and sometimes quite inspiring too! Apart from a small thank-you gift, the huge gratitude you get from us and from all the runners it’s also great fun.

Who can volunteer?

Volunteers need to be aged over 16 to volunteer (14 and 15 year olds can volunteer with a supervising parent/guardian).

Superhero / Marshal iconWhat does a Route Marshal do?

We need you to point runners in the right direction, alert them to any potential danger and provide heaps of encouragement to them.

Tempted?

If you’re tempted please email Joe Edwards, our Marshal Coordinator.
And many thanks for your interest!
